Douglas County, GA- Route 166 in Douglasville, Georgia is shut down in both directions after two vehicles collided shortly before 5:13 p.m.  Douglas County Firefighters and EMS rushed to the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer and a four-door sedan.  

Douglas County, GA- Route 166 in Douglasville, Georgia is shut down in both directions after two vehicles collided shortly before 5:13 p.m.  Douglas County Firefighters and EMS rushed to the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer and a four-door sedan.     The accident happened on route 166 half mile east of Big A and about a mile of West Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville.  Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Public Safety are on the scene along with Georgia State Patrol.     Two people were hurt as a result and taken to a nearby hospital.     For more information, contact Rick Martin, Director of Communications and Community Relations at 404-759-3386 or rickmartin@douglascountyga.gov.
