Douglas County SADD Chapter Awarded $5,796 Grant
The SADD chapter at Douglas County High School was recently awarded a grant of $5,796 by the Governor's Office of Highway Safety.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The Students Against Destructive Decisions, or SADD, chapter at Douglas County High School was recently awarded a grant of $5,796 by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The grant will allow the chapter to help empower students at Douglas County High School to be more responsible drivers and leaders within their community.
The grant will give students the opportunity to attend conferences, host speakers, and hold workshops to inform fellow students and the community about the dangers of distracted and impaired driving in Douglas County.
SADD is a national organization founded in Wayland, Massachusetts, in 1981 with hundreds of chapters across the nation. The mission of SADD is to empower young people to successfully confront the risks and pressures that challenge them throughout their daily lives. The Douglas County High SADD Chapter's primary goal is to help students at Douglas County High School develop the skills to be become empowered to make positive decisions.
