The roads around the county are clear, and are drying out from yesterday’s weather. Thankfully, Douglas County only received a slight amount of accumulation, and the temperatures stayed warm enough to melt the sleet and snow that did fall. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the following agencies and individuals for their help and support:

We feel that, overall, everyone was thoroughly prepared for the predicted wintery weather. Though the weather didn’t turn out quite as hazardous as expected, we feel that this gave us a good opportunity to practice our weather emergency strategies.
Thank you again.
