Douglas Shelter Overstocked On Dogs After Christmas Returns

Due to returns after Christmas, the Douglas County Animal Shelter is overstocked on dogs and cats.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA – The Douglas County Animal Shelter made a Facebook post Thursday that the shelter is overstocked on dogs and cats.

"We hit a new record," reads the post. "We have 50 dogs (and 32 cats) available for adoption in the shelter right now. We need your help! Please come visit the animals anytime we're open and maybe take one home with you!
"We've gotten many returns from Christmas - dogs who were shown a better life and then returned when things got a little hectic. Help us get these awesome dogs into awesome homes!"
