Douglas County Deputies Seek Warrants For Weapons, Drug Charges
The charges are being sought against a man who sheriff's deputies say was involved in a domestic dispute on Creekside Circle Sunday morning.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies have filed warrants for a local man on five criminal charges after officers confiscated marijuana, crushed pills suspected to be ecstasy and counterfeit cash, police said on Monday.
The discovery was made after deputies were called to the area of Creekside Circle at 7 a.m. on Sunday for the report of a domestic incident. Deputies learned while in transit that the man reportedly involved in the incident was in a vehicle attempting to leave, the sheriff’s department said Monday.
Deputies were also told that there were active warrants out for the man’s arrest due to a violation of his probation connected with an aggravated assault charge, police said. When deputies arrived, they found the man in the vehicle and told him to exit. As he did, they detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, police said.

Deputies search the vehicle and found a Ruger .40 caliber pistol, about six ounces of marijuana, 19 hand pressed pills that is suspected ecstasy, 78 packages that are commonly used to package and distribute marijuana, a digital scale and 11 “movie prop” $100.00 bills, police announced.
Deputies have filed warrants for the man including on charges involving possession of a schedule I substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, and possession of drug related objects, police said.
