Douglasville to Screen Locally Filmed Movie, 'The Founder'
Residents of the Douglasville area got a chance to watch a locally filmed movie on the exact spot where it was filmed. The City of Douglasville hosted a free screening of "The Founder," which was filmed locally in 2015.
The screening event was held in the parking lot next to the Old Douglasville Police Station — which was used as a filming location for the movie.

Douglas County Student To Compete on 'Chopped Junior'
A Douglas County sixth-grader got a shot at becoming a junior celebrity chef in 2017.
Rose Genter, a student at Factory Shoals Middle School, competed on an episode of "Chopped Junior" on the Food Network.
The episode was titled "Rise and Cook."

New Fox Show "Star" Filming in Douglasville
A new Fox series from the creators of "Empire" will be filming in Douglasville this winter.
"Star," is set to debuted in the spring. The musical drama series stars Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Lenny Kravitz, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O'Grady. It is produced and directed by Lee Daniels, the creative mind behind Fox's hit series "Empire."
