Lulince Pierre was convicted on one count of aggravated sexual battery and three counts of child molestation, the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office announced. The verdict was returned just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, about an hour after Assistant District Attorney David Emadi finished his closing argument after three days of presenting evidence.
Sentencing is set for 9:30 a.m. March 17.

According to the DA’s Office in a news release, Pierre molested his niece from 2001 until the winter of 2008 when she was 12.
“It wasn’t until 2013, when the victim was being told of another family member having been raped and abused that she gave an emotional disclosure to her mother regarding what her uncle had been doing to during the 7 years he lived in their Villa Rica home with them. Evidence was also presented showing that a similar sexual molestation occurred on another young female member of the family by the Defendant in a different state several years prior which went unreported.”
“Not only has the defendant inflicted years of horrific sexual abuse upon the victim, but because of this sexual predator she has been left emotionally and psychologically battered as well,” Emadi said in his closing argument, according to the DA’s Office.
