Mattie's Call Issued For 69-Year-Old By Douglas Sheriff's Office

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office issued a Mattie's Call Monday evening for a 69-year-old man last seen in the Fairburn Road area.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The Douglas County Sheriff's Office issued a Mattie's Call Monday evening for a 69-year-old man last seen in the Fairburn Road and Church Street area.

Robert Stanley Dixon, from the Pilgrim Drive area, is described by the sheriff's office as a black man, 6'1" tall and weighing 250 pounds, with brown eyes, gray hair and a pierced left ear and scar on his forehead. He was last seen wearing a black jogging suit.

Established by the Georgia General Assembly in 2006, Mattie’s Call is an emergency missing alert for disabled or elderly persons. The alert is an investigative tool that can be activated only by a local law enforcement agency.
