Police: Thief Snatches Elderly Woman's Purse at Kroger
The alleged theft happened Jan. 20 at the grocery store on Hospital Drive in Douglasville.

The Douglasville Police Department is looking for help in identifying a woman suspected of snatching the purse of an elderly woman earlier this week at the Kroger store on Hospital Drive.
Police say a $1,000 reward is being offered in the case.
The alleged theft happened around 2:15 p.m. on Jan. 20, police said in a “be on the lookout” (BOLO) alert:

[The suspect] appears to follow an elderly victim around the Kroger store on Hospital Drive for extended period of time.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., the victim turns her back on her shopping cart to select an item.

The suspect quickly moves in and grabs the victim’s purse from the shopping cart and quickly leaves the area.
The suspect, a black woman between 20 and 30 years old with shoulder-length hair, was wearing gray leggings, white shoes and a black letterman-style jacket with gray sleeves, police said.
