The TV station reported Womack is suspended until June 25.

CBS46, citing an unnamed source, reported the council is looking into dash cam video from the incident, which happened in Fulton County and is being investigated by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.
WSB-TV reported the incident involved suspect Morris Tommy Slaughter, who led a high-speed chase on March 2 that ended with a wreck on I-20. Slaughter faces multiple charges, including fleeing police, marijuana possession and reckless driving.
Womack was involved in that chase, Channel 2 said, but a GBI spokesperson said he was not the officer being investigation.
Slaughter reportedly dropped a bag of marijuana, then ran from police, the TV station said.
Womack has been under fire from the council in the past. Last July, the Council voted to keep the chief after he made controversial comments that the department was losing officers because of pay.
