DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Rudy, a retired member of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office's K-9 unit, has died.The unit announced Rudy's passing in <a href="https://www.facebook.com/DCSheriffGAK9/photos/a.300809021359.156235.287830121359/10153730937426360/?type=3&amp;theater" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">a Facebook post</a>.The post did not give Rudy's age, but said he had retired from duty several years ago and, as is often the case with law-enforcement service dogs, had gone to live with his handler, Jim Mallore."Everyone please keep Jim and his family in prayers as they lost a loyal companion and part of their family!!" the post reads.
