TV Crew to Shoot Scenes in Historic Downtown Douglasville

Filming for the MTV series "Finding Carter" is scheduled Friday; some roads will be closed.

A film crew will be in downtown Douglasville Friday to shoot scenes for the MTV series “Finding Carter,” the city said.

A production agency will film in the historic downtown area on Friday, July 17, Main Street Douglasville posted on Facebook.

Church Street between Price Avenue and Campbellton Street and Campbellton Street between the intersections of East Church Street and Broad Street (southbound lane only).

Downtown Douglasville isn’t new to being selected for film production. Last month, scenes for ”The Founder,” the Michael Keaton movie on McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc, were shot here, and even included the construction of a replica ‘50’s-style McDonald’s restaurant.

According the TV Show’s website, ““Finding Carter” is a family drama that centers on Carter, a teenage girl who thinks she has the perfect life until one night after a police bust at a high school party she is told that the woman who she believes to be her biological mother actually abducted her as a toddler.” Kathryn Prescott stars as Carter.
