3 Puppies Thrown From Truck In Sandy Springs
The Sandy Springs Police Department is asking residents to help them track down the person accused of dumping three puppies along a street on the north side of the city. Several residents pulled over and kept the puppies on the side of the road so they would not get hit by a passing vehicle.

'Snap Map' App Could Be Dangerous For Kids, Authorities Say
Law enforcement officials are warning parents about a new feature on a popular mobile app that could make it easier for anyone to find their location. Late last month, Snapchat added the "Snap Maps" feature, which shares the user's location with their friends on the app in real time. But authorities say the feature also could be used by predators to easily find young victims.

No Georgia Tax-Free Weekend In 2017
Back-to-school shoppers in Georgia who have grown accustomed to a sales tax-free weekend may be disappointed this year. The Georgia legislature, which has to approve the tax holidays on a yearly basis, didn't do so for 2017.
