• Five arrested in 2022 deadly shooting at Hartwell bar, GBI says (wyff4.com) — Elberton residents should know that local police helped arrest five suspects in a 2022 deadly shooting at Jack's Bar and Grill in nearby Hartwell. The GBI says multiple agencies, including Elberton Police, worked together to track the men now facing felony murder and aggravated assault charges, and investigators are still asking for additional tips.
