• Scarecrow invasions in North Georgia: Your 2026 guide (fox5atlanta.com) — Downtown Hartwell’s square is getting decked out this October for the Stars & Stripes & Scarecrows display, with local businesses, families, and groups creating patriotic-themed scarecrows. Displays are planned to be up by October 4, and you can stroll through and vote on your favorites throughout the month as part of a regional scarecrow trail.
