TCAC fundraises for efforts to help animals (valleytimes-news.com) — Feral cat colonies in LaGrange and across Troup County are being tackled by the Troup County Animal Coalition, which traps, neuters, vaccinates, and returns cats to their home areas. Volunteers say demand is urgent and growing, and they rely entirely on small local donations and limited vet appointments to keep up, with hopes to eventually help stray dogs too.

'I don't feel safe': Neighbors react to triple shooting that left 2 dead (wsbtv.com) — LaGrange residents are grappling with safety concerns after a triple shooting at an apartment complex on Hogansville Road left two men dead and a 16-year-old wounded Monday night. (lagrangenews.com) — Mountville Mills is bringing GelPro's manufacturing operations into its LaGrange facilities, potentially boosting local production and related jobs as the transition unfolds over the coming months. The company says GelPro's existing team will manage day-to-day work during the move, aiming for a smooth experience for customers while expanding Mountville's lineup of premium matting brands.
   

4. Development Authority gives updates on ongoing projects (lagrangenews.com) — LaGrange is poised to become Lee Kum Kee's new North American base, with a soy sauce and condiment facility planned on an initial 155-acre site that could eventually grow to about 300 acres. Local development officials say bond approval and land purchase are expected by year's end, capping a decade-long effort to land the project in Georgia.
   

5. Troup County firefighter treated for heat exhaustion after b... (valleytimes-news.com) — After a demanding fire response in Troup County, one firefighter was airlifted to a local hospital for heat exhaustion and has since been released. County officials praised crews' courage in difficult weather and building conditions, and specifically thanked the LaGrange Fire Department and other local agencies for their critical help with suppression, response, and recovery.
