The Macon-Bibb Planning & Zoning Commission delayed a decision until Sept. 28 while staff and the property owner explore a compromise that preserves the neighborhood's residential character.

Each recall involves safety concerns ranging from contamination to fire hazards, and shoppers are advised to discard or return affected items and stop using recalled devices immediately.

• Autism workshop receives Pilot International Grant (gbtribune.com) — A Macon-based charitable fund, the Pilot International Founders Fund, has awarded a $5,000 matching grant to support a 2026 Autism Disorders Workshop in Kansas. The grant, matched locally by the Pilot Club of Great Bend, will help bring national autism speaker Amy Nelson to provide practical guidance and coping strategies for families and professionals working with autistic children and adults.
