Summer Drinks: Stock Up, Stay Hydrated, Save Money

This has been an especially hot summer, and with the heat comes that unquenchable thirst and a need to stay hydrated.

Georgia counties experience spikes in heat strokes and heat exhaustion this time of year. Fortunately, most stores selling beverages have sales going on, and not just on “healthy” drinks.

Both Race Trac and Quik Trip have summer promotions on their fountain and frozen drinks that beat most fast food restaurants. For example, why pay $4 for an iced coffee drink at McDonald’s when you can get a 32 oz frozen cappuccino at Quik Trip?

Take a look at some of the best summer drink specials going on right now. And take advantage of the soda, water and sports drink deals in the retail stores to stock up for fall.

1) RaceTrac Stores, Promotion good through July 31, 2012:

Sodapalooza is Race Trac’s annual summer fountain drinks sale. All 32 oz. fountain beverages for $0.49 (reg. $0.99). You can choose from more than 30 fountain drink options including Coke, Pepsi, Gatorade and High C drinks. Smoothies are $0.69.
