Tax Incentives for Businesses Near Dobbins

If you are a business owner in near , a new program could help reduce your state taxes.

Businesses in the Military Zone are eligible to receive $3,500 in state income tax credits for every new job created in 2011 and 2012 (minimum of two full-time, permanent jobs of at least 35 hours per week) for five years.

The qualifying area is east of Atlanta Road, west of Cobb Parkway, south of Roswell Street and north of South Cobb Drive.

Marietta is the first city in Cobb County and one of the first in Georgia to receive Military Zone designation.
