• Southeast Georgia fire departments get $105,000 in state funding (wjcl.com) — Nahunta residents may be reassured to know local firefighters who battled recent Brantley County wildfires were recognized directly by Governor Brian Kemp, who met with them this week. The state is providing $105,000 to seven southeast Georgia departments, including those serving Brantley County, to upgrade equipment and training through the 50/50 Volunteer Fire Assistance Program.
