• Four Ware students win Exchange contest (theblacksheartimes.com) — Waycross’s Exchange Club teamed up with the Ware County Board of Education to host an America 250 essay contest on the meaning of U.S. citizenship. One winner was chosen from each grade division, highlighting local students’ reflections on civic responsibility, patriotism, and community involvement while celebrating their insight and character.

• SGSC and SRTC join forces (theblacksheartimes.com) — Students in and around Waycross now have a clearer path from Southern Regional Technical College to a bachelor’s degree at South Georgia State College’s Waycross campus. A new articulation agreement lets qualifying SRTC education graduates transfer smoothly into SGSC’s elementary/special education program, saving time, avoiding repeated coursework, and helping strengthen South Georgia’s future teacher workforce.
