• Georgia Man Accused of $200K Nationwide Scam Using Feminine Product Coupon Glitch (lawenforcementtoday.com) — Peachtree City police say a man used a faulty digital coupon at a local Kroger to get $50 discounts and buy Visa gift cards, allegedly stealing over $200,000 from retailers nationwide. He was arrested in Clayton County, faces multiple fraud and forgery charges, and remains in Fayette County Jail as federal and out-of-state agencies pursue related cases.
   

• 'Warbird Pilot for a Day' Leads Silent Auction for Moonlight Swing at CAF Airbase Georgia (thecitizen.com) — Peachtree City aviation fans can bid on a one-of-a-kind "Warbird Pilot for a Day" experience at the Oct. 17 Moonlight Swing fundraiser at CAF Airbase Georgia. The package includes flights in three historic WWII-era aircraft, ground school sessions, and a commemorative leather jacket, all supporting the airbase's capital campaign to expand its local hangar and classroom space.
   

• Eight Local Students Named National Merit Semifinalists (thecitizen.com) — Five McIntosh High School seniors in Peachtree City are among eight local students named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, placing them in the top 1% of seniors nationwide. They'll now compete for finalist status and a share of about $24 million in scholarships, based on applications, test scores, and school recommendations.
