Meeting on PC Pedestrian Bridge Scheduled
It will be the second community meeting on a bridge plan liked by many, but seen by some as a poor fit for the Peachtree Corners.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA -- The next community meeting on plans for a Peachtree Corners pedestrian bridge is scheduled for next Thursday, June 23.
The meeting about the bridge, which officials say will be a "dramatic" and "iconic" structure leading into the new Town Center development, will be from 7-8:30 p.m. at city hall.
The first part of the meeting will be a presentation of options for the bridge's design. Then, attendees will be invited to review designs, ask questions and talk with the mayor and council members and other city officials.

"All will have ample opportunity to express their views to the mayor and council at that time,"Â the city said in a news release.
This month's meeting was scheduled to let as many people as possible have a say in the plans, and will present the same information that was provided at a community meeting in March.

Announced in January, the bridge would provide a walkway over Peachtree Parkway and connect Town Center with the The Forum.
It will, according to its original design, meander over a creek and botanical garden as it crosses Peachtree Parkway and include landscaping, park benches and other features.
City leaders have said they've heard from many residents supportive of the bridge, but also from some who don't feel that it's a good fit for the community.
"We want you to know that we’re listening," Mayor Mike Mason said in March.
