The Austell City Council meets this evening at 7 p.m. at Austell City Hall.

The agenda is rather light, with the one major action item being a resolution to appoint City Clerk Carolyn Duncan, Deputy City Clerk Sandy Farmer and Rebecca Howell as absentee ballot clerks for the Nov. 8 election.

The Public Works Department plans to pull its request for β€œNo Parking” signs on Cemetery Street, stated Duane Demeritt in an email. Members of the department learned that the parking problem on the street was only a temporary issue, Demeritt explained.
