City of Austell to Hold Public Meetings about Road Widening

The purpose of the meeting is to give business owners the opportunity to provide feedback about the operational improvement project.

The City of Austell is holding a public meeting about road-widening projects in the city. The meeting will take place on Sept. 21, 3-5 p.m. at the city's Threadmill Complex at 5000 Austell-Powder Springs Road.

This project is an Operational Improvement project, consisting of widening State Route 6 (C. H. James Parkway), between I-20 and Dr. Luke Glenn Garrett Jr. Memorial Highway (formerly known as Westside Drive) to enhance the corridor for freight traffic and general motorists.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the affected property owners with an opportunity to view the proposed improvements and to express their interest and concerns about the proposed project. Property owners are invited to attend anytime during these hours to review the proposed plans for this project. No formal presentation will be given.Β
