by Rodney Thrash
Cobb CountyΒ Superior Court judges and other representatives are heading back to the classroom.
The free "From the Court to the Classroom"Β program was developed in responseΒ "to the current economic hardships our school system has endured in recent years," according to program's website.
Here's how it works:
1.Β Complete aΒ registration form.
2. Send the completed form toΒ 770-528-1883 orΒ court2you@cobbcounty.org.
3.Β The court will dispatch a representative of your choice to your school.Β
From drug treatment court to jury services, that representative will cover a variety of topics.
"This one on one experience will provide your group with the knowledge of court structure and procedure, which will greatly enhance any curriculum, especially those discussing civil government and the judiciary," according to the program's website.
