Teen Forum: A Time for Peace

Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents "A Time for PEACE: Parents Encouraged and Children Empowered."

The teen forum, for 6th-12th grade students and adults, is a day-long event with education and interactive workshops with the focus on PEACE for the family.  Topics include:

  • Anti-Bullying
  • Cyber Bullying
  • Hazing in the News
  • Legal Responsibilities for Teens
  • Financial Peace (Adult and Youth Workshops)
  • What to do if you receive mean texts, tweets, emails, etc.
  • Conflict Resolution for Families
  • Addressing Bullying Behavior

The keynote speaker will be, Ms. Monique Rivarde, President of BFAM Inc. (Bobby’s Family Inc..), an anti-bullying organization.  Ms. Rivarde is the mother of Bobby Tillman, a victim of teen bullying and violence.
