Last Six Flags Opportunity Zone Community Cafe on Thursday
Provide your opinions and help shape the vision for the Six Flags area.
Residents have one last opportunity to get their opinions heard and have input in the vision for the Six Flags opportunity zone. The last event will be held on Thursday at from 6 to 8 p.m.
The community cafe is a place for residents, business owners, parents, students, civic group members, elected officials, school administration and officials and church members to gather and exchange ideas about the area's future.
The Six Flags Corridor, which consists of a three-mile stretch from Six Flags Over Georgia and Interstate 20 West near Six Flags to in Austell (right near the Douglas County line) is being deemed an opportunity zone.

In June, the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta awarded a $35,000 grant, designating the area an Opportunity Zone. Organizations like the Center for Family Resources and Georgia Power are collaborating for the three-year effort to improve the area by integrating feedback given at the Community Cafes.
