South Cobb Patch Weekly Sports Recap

Whitefield Academy

Whitefield Academy's baseball team had a couple of rough outings last week, losing 11-6 to Pace Academy and 16-8 versus Walker. The Wolfpack's next ballgame is at home against Our Lady of Mercy, Tuesday at 5 p.m.  

In soccer action, the boys' team lost in a close match to Galloway 4-3. Their next contest is at home against First Presbyterian Day School, on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The girls’ team were on the short end of a 2-1 loss to Atlanta International last week. The Lady Wolfpack will play host to First Presbyterian Day School, on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

In tennis, the boys’ team won their match against Wesleyan 3-2, while the girls' team lost their match to the Wolves 4-1. The boys and girls teams will begin play in the region tournament, at the South Fulton Tennis Center, starting Wednesday.

The boys’ lacrosse team lost in a rout versus Woodward Academy, 18-4. Their next contest is on the road against Northgate, on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. 

South Cobb/Pebblebrook

Both schools' spring sports teams were off last week, due to spring break. They will resume play today.
