No. 1 seed Whitefield Academy opened up the first round of the Class A playoffs Saturday with a 62-48 home-court rout over No. 4 seed Wesleyan.

With the win, the Wolfpack advance to the second round and face Athens Christan Wednesday evening at Whitefield Academy.
