Whitefield Holds Prom with a Purpose

For many high school students, prom is about fancy dresses, limo rides, expensive dinners and dancing the night away with that special someone or just a good group of friends.

For students at Whitefield Academy, Prom Night is just a tad different. These teens forego the limo rides and the expensive dinners and donate the money saved to local charities. This year, the collected donations went to Georgia Special Olympics.

Whitefield's prom was held Friday at Vinings Club, and South Cobb Patch has a few photos from the event.
