Statesboro receives grant for infrastructure improvements (wsav.com) — Statesboro has secured a $1 million state grant, adding $1.4 million of its own funds, to upgrade water, sewer, stormwater, and sidewalks around Church and Roundtree streets. City leaders say the $2.4 million project will replace undersized water lines, improve fire protection, reduce flooding, and make the neighborhood more walkable for residents who've long raised concerns.

Blue Devils honor seniors with wins in tri-match on Tuesday (griceconnect.com) — Statesboro High's Blue Devils volleyball team gave its seniors a perfect sendoff, sweeping both Appling County and Southeast Bulloch on Senior Night without dropping a set. Six senior players and a senior manager were honored as coach Bob Massee praised their impact before they dominated the tri‑match for a memorable farewell on their home court.

Bulloch County high school graduation rate tops state average for fifth straight year (wtoc.com) — Bulloch County Schools have topped Georgia's average graduation rate for the fifth straight year, with an overall 89.92% rate that beats the state's 88.5%. Statesboro High School improved to 86.39%, while Portal and Southeast Bulloch posted even higher gains, reflecting steady progress local educators credit to strong student–teacher relationships.

Pride Across Georgia: LGBTQ+ communities will celebrate in Carrollton, Statesboro, Savannah and more (roughdraftatlanta.com) — Statesboro residents can join the Boro Pride Festival on Oct. 3 at Georgia Southern's Nessmith-Lane Ballroom, where Statesboro Pride will host a full day of music, vendors, food, and an evening drag show.
