Cobb Mom: I Told Police Years Ago About Marietta Coach Accused Of Sex Abuse
A Cobb County mother is being credited with helping investigators arrest a former high school wrestling coach accused of sexually abusing a boy. Cobb County sheriff’s deputies arrested Ron Gorman, 51, a former Life University employee, at his East Cobb home last week. The case involves a youth in East Stroudsburg, Pa., where Gorman worked as a wrestling coach. Speaking to WSB-TV, a local mother said that she reported Gorman to police six years ago when he was a volunteer wrestling coach at Pope High School.>>>Read more.

Avian Influenza Outbreak in Tennessee Has The Attention Of Georgia Officials
Georgia officials say there have been no reported cases of the Avian Influenza in the state, but they are keeping a close eye on things following the recent outbreak in Tennessee. “Poultry is Georgia’s No. 1 industry and we must take this threat seriously. Wild waterfowl can harbor the Avian Influenza virus without getting sick," Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary W. Black said in a statement.>>>Read more.

Cartersville Resident Puts Up A Fight Against Home Intruder
A Cartersville resident wasn't about to allow a home intruder ruin his Wednesday evening. The man told police he was walking through his home when he saw his front door open slowly. As he approached the door, the resident saw an intruder attempting to enter the home. He was able to pin the man into the door and "began to strike him several times in the face," according to the report.
