Ex-Boyfriend Charged In Schaumburg Stabbing Homicide: Police
A 26-year-old Schaumburg man, who had a 3-year relationship with Yvonne Lattouf-Delgado, is accused of stabbing her to death in her home.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — The former boyfriend of a Schaumburg woman is accused of stabbing her to death in her apartment and is being charged with first-degree murder, according to police. Jesus David Gomez-Marcano, 26, of Schaumburg, was arrested Friday and not awarded bond Saturday.
Police said Gomez-Marcano previously had a three-year relationship with Yvonne Lattouf-Delgado, who was found dead in her apartment Wednesday in the 1000 block of N. Plum Grove Road, Schaumburg. The 24-year-old died of multiple stab wounds to the neck, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Following an investigation conducted by Schaumburg police, and coordinated with the Major Case Assistance Team, police said Gomez-Marcano was at the dead woman's apartment on Wednesday. He allegedly pushed Lattouf-Delgado to the ground and stabbed her in the neck.

Police said the investigation included several neighborhood canvasses, forensic examinations, and following up on multiple leads. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office approved the charges.
