Homeless Men Fight At North Park: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

A 911 call was made reporting the two men in their 40s were punching each other, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Anghelica Horbas, 22, if accused of theft, and was arrested Feb. 10 at the Vernon Hills Police Department. A court date of March 22 was assigned.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

Skylor M. Schultz, 23, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested Feb. 15 at E. Algonquin Road and S. Tonne Drive. Schultz was released and assigned a court date of Mach 14.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

  • A resident in the 2700 block of N. Buffalo Grove Road reported at 7:05 p.m. Feb. 5, someone stole a delivered package from outside the entryway to his multi-residential complex.
  • A resident in the 2100 block of S. Goebbert reported at 11:12 p.m. Feb. 8, someone stole his personal items from the fitness center at the Residences of Arlington Heights. The stolen items were three residential keys/fobs and a single car key.

BATTERY

Police responded to North School Park at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 7, for a 911 call about two males in their 40s punching one another. Officers learned one of the individuals let prior to their arrival. The remaining party identified himself as a homeless person who was fighting another homeless individual whom he recognizes. He did not wish to sign complaints, nor did he ask for additional assistance.

BURGLARY FROM AUTOMOBILE

A resident in the 4100 block of N. Bloomington reported at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 7, someone had rummaged through her parked vehicle. Entry was not forced. The vehicle doors were likely left unlocked and a door was left opened by the offender. No property was taken. Three additional reports involving similar circumstances were reported at this location within this time frame by different victims.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident at Luther Village reported that between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Feb. 7, someone entered her apartment and stole their checkbook and cash. Entry was not forced.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee at Kohl's, 800 W. Dundee Road, called police at 1:45 p.m. Feb. 7, to report a male had concealed 15 bottles of perfume, having a retail value of $2,306.70, beneath his coat and left the store without paying.
