FBI Connects the Dots Between Two South Side Bank Robberies
FBI believes two US Bank branch robberies in Mt. Greenwood and Morgan Park were carried out by the same bandit.

CHICAGO, IL -- The FBI is offering a reward for information leading the arrest of a bank robber who is suspected of carrying out a pair of bank robberies in Mt. Greenwood and Morgan Park this month.
The first robbery occurred at the US Bank branch, 11159 S. Kedzie Ave. in Mt. Greenwood. Around 9:15 a.m. Dec. 5. The feds say the bandit entered the bank and made verbal threats demanding money. Witnesses say he left on foot.

Several days later, the FBI believes the same man hit again, this time the US Bank branch at 11150 S. Western Ave. in Morgan Park. Witnesses tell the FBI the bandit walked into the bank around 10:30 a.m. Dec. 14.
He made another verbal threat for money before leaving the bank on foot with an unknown amount of cash. The FBI describes both heists as non-takeover robberies.

The robber was wearing similar dark clothing in both robberies, including a skull cap and black jacket. Witnesses to the Morgan Park bank robbery said the bandit’s skull cap had a hole cut in the top of it and that he was bald.
No one was injured in the robberies, the FBI said.
