Taco Bell Offers Free Tacos (Yay!) Thanks to an Indians' Stolen Base (Boo!)

Find out how you can take advantage of the fast-food chain's promotion Wednesday.

CHICAGO, IL — Cubs fans have a reason to cheer for the Cleveland Indians after all, even if it is connected with Chicago's loss in the first game of the World Series.

Taco Bell will be giving away free Doritos Locos Tacos to customers from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at participating locations across the country. The food deal comes courtesy of Cleveland shortstop Francisco Lindor and the fast-food chain's "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" promotion, which has given away tacos for World Series stolen bases over the years. Lindor stole second in Game 1 of the World Series last week.

And no, the free taco offer is not negated because Lindor was picked off first base in Game 3.

This is the fifth time Taco Bell has run the promotion since 2007. Past "Taco Heroes" have included Kansas City Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain in 2015 and San Francisco Giants left fielder Angel Pagan in 2012.
