BIG PIG, P.I.G. Championship of the World

The Downers Grove Park District will host the 3^rd Annual BIG PIG, P.I.G. Championship of the World, a classic hoops shoot-out tournament on Saturday, February 25^th, at 10:30 am, at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road. Prizes and awards will be given to the winners of each division based on a double elimination with a P.I.G. All players will compete against others in their own age bracket while jamming to music from a high energy deejay. A mascot exhibition game will take place between Famous Dave’s Wilbur and Buffalo Wild Wings’ Mr. Buffalo after the double elimination tournament and before the finals.  Lunch is also available for purchase. The BIG PIG is sponsored by Famous Dave’s BBQ, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ty Inc., Chipotle Mexican Grill, Play it Again Sports, Downers Grove Reporter, Sports Clips and Honey Baked Ham.The fee is $10 per youth player and $15 per adult or senior player. Businesses may also register players in the corporate division. Register by February 20th at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road, Lincoln Center, 935 Maple Avenue or online at www.dgparks.org.
