• Downers Grove Woman Gets 3rd DUI With 11-Year-Old In Car: Police Blotter (patch.com) — Residents in Downers Grove are learning more about an August late-night traffic stop where police say a local woman, with her 11-year-old in the backseat, was arrested on her third DUI. Officers report she ran a red light near Good Samaritan Hospital, sped along Main Street, nearly hit a curb, and later registered a high blood alcohol level before the child was released to a grandparent.
   

• Downers Grove To Vote On Industrial Building Proposal For Warrenville Road (patch.com) — Downers Grove officials are set to vote Tuesday on rezoning 2500 Warrenville Road to allow a 173,000-square-foot industrial building with truck docks and 116 parking spaces. The project would replace the existing structure and could house distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or food-processing tenants, potentially bringing new traffic, jobs, and industrial activity to the area.
   

• Xavier commit Taylor Carroll's two backrow kills help Lyons outlast Downers Grove North in marathon second set (shawlocal.com) — Downers Grove North hosted Lyons Township in a thrilling girls volleyball match Tuesday, falling 25-23, 34-32 after a marathon second set played in town. Despite standout hitting from Nicole Liu and a big Trojans comeback from a 16-9 deficit, Lyons' Xavier-bound senior Taylor Carroll sealed the match with two powerful back-row kills.
