Shadwick King Sentenced to 30 Years for Murdering Wife
King continued to profess his innocence at his sentencing. "To the last day of my life, I did not do it," he said Friday.

Shadwick King, the Geneva man convicted of suffocating his wife and leaving her body along railroad tracks, was sentenced to 30 years in prison Friday, according to a Chicago Tribune report.
During his sentencing, King, 47, continued to deny he murdered his wife, Kathleen, 32, in July of 2014, the report stated.

“The simple, honest truth: I did not kill my wife. To the last day of my life, I did not do it.”
King was found guilty in March of first-degree murder after jurors deliberated for five hours. Prosecutors claimed King had killed his wife in a jealous rage over her possible affair with another man. Kathleen King’s body was found July 6 on the Union Pacific Railway tracks south of Esping Park.
