GoFundMe Created For Lockport Girl In Critical Condition
The Lockport community rallied around a 4-year-old girl after she fell into a pool and was in critical condition. Pink ribbons were hung around the community for Gabriella Matlak. Matlak came out of her coma, and is still receiving treatment from the accident.

Man Sues Lockport Bar Over Stabbing
According to the lawsuit, on Nov. 4, 2018, Shooters "sold or gave liquor to an unknown allegedly intoxicated person." The unknown person then "provoked an argument and altercation" with Andy Parker. The lawsuit states Parker went outside Shooters and was followed by the unknown person, who stabbed Parker with a knife.
GoFundMe Created For Lockport Bicyclist Killed In Hit And Run
Jacob Weinert was working in Florida as a forklift operator while his fiance and children were living in Lockport. According to the GoFundMe, Weinert was trying to save enough money to move his family to Florida, where he and his fiance planned to raise their two children.

Robber 'Feels Bad,' Returns To Scene To Give Back Money: Cops
A Joliet man was charged with robbery after police said he stole money Sept. 13 from the Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Police said a different man returned to the business and told officers still on scene that his friend had committed the robbery, felt bad, and wanted to return the money.
Gaylord Building Vandalized, Damage Could Cost $40k: Cops
The National Trust for Historic Preservation had the damage inspected, and it was discovered that there was extensive damage to a rooftop HVAC unit due to nails being driven into the side of the unit. This caused all of the refrigerant to drain out.
City Council Approves Outdoor Eating Area For Tangled Roots
Tangled Roots will be opening at the old All Pool Pro's building. A 1,500-square-foot covered wood deck will be constructed and will have space for about 15 tables. The business broke ground in December.
