Forza 2.0 Opening Under New Management After July Shootings
There were as many as 200 people loitering around the parking lot for Forza Table & Tap when the shootings happened around 11:45 p.m.

CREST HILL — More than three months after former Joliet resident Terrell Fanniel was fatally shot in the parking lot and four others also suffered gunshot wounds, representatives of Forza Table & Tap announced they will be reopening soon under new management and with a different food and drink menu.
Crest Hill Police Chief Ed Clark previously said there may have been as many as 200 people loitering around the parking lot for Forza Table & Tap when the shootings happened around 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, July 10.
So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the killing of the 32-year-old Fanniel, who had an extensive criminal history.

This week on Facebook, Forza thanked all of its social media followers for being patient with them. Forza revealed that it is turning into "the area's newest Mexican restaurant/cantina with an all new drink and food menu, including specialty drinks and more."
Monday evening's Facebook post did not announce its reopening date, only saying that Forza Table and Tap 2.0 is "coming soon."

Back on July 21, the last time that the Forza Facebook page was utilized, Forza announced, "IT IS WITH GREAT PRIDE THAT WE ANNOUNCE OUR PLANS TO RELOCATE."
On Tuesday afternoon, Joliet Patch contacted Crest Hill Mayor Ray Soliman for his reaction to the Forza announcement.
Following July's parking lot shootings, the owners of Forza voluntarily surrendered their Crest Hill liquor license following the mayor's liquor hearing.
"I was just made aware of this new business today," Soliman notified Patch's editor. "I will be meeting with the new owners next week to discuss our liquor application process."
