FBI Releases Descriptions Of Suspects In Northbrook Armed Bank Robbery

Police said the same suspects robbed a Fifth Third Bank in Evanston also on Monday afternoon.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Following an armed bank robbery at a Fifth Third Bank in Northbrook Monday afternoon, the FBI's Chicago office released surveillance photos and descriptions of the two suspects. Police said the same pair robbed a Fifth Third Bank in Evanston following the Northbrook incident.

The incident at 240 Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook occurred at around 12:06 p.m. with the Evanston robbery occurring about 30 minutes later at 2440 Main St.

Police said two men entered the Northbrook branch of Fifth Third Bank business, approached a teller and demanded money while brandishing a gun. The subjects then fled with the money in an unknown direction. Police did not release the amount of money taken in either incident.

There were no injuries reported and there is no immediate threat to the public, according to Northbrook police.

According to the FBI, the male suspects are described as the following:

  • Suspect 1: Black, in his 20s/30s, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, medium build, wearing black hooded jacket with fur trim around the hood, a black in color balaclava, white sweatpants with a solid black in color strip along the outside leg, gray gym shoes, and blue gloves. According to police, this suspect was the one that brandished the gun.

  • Suspect 2: Black, in his 30s/40s, 5-foot-1o to 5-foot-11, medium build, wearing a black neoprene facial covering with mirrored or reflective eyepieces, multicolored plaid design hooded coat, black jeans, white high-top shoes and blue gloves.
