The Real Seal LLC Home Repair Company Growing, Owner Credits Service-Oriented Business Model
Schaumburg-based basement and foundation repair company thrives under an all-inclusive approach to quality
While recent years have seen several 100-year storms across the Chicago area, property owners are increasingly relying on Schaumburg-based Real Seal LLC.
Specializing in basement waterproofing and foundation repair, Real Seal prides itself on timely service when calculating estimates and repairing damage.
Aside from prompt and thorough service, Real Seal pays meticulous attention to customer service, according to Austin Werner, president and founder of Real Seal.

“That’s the biggest reason why we’re growing,” he said. “Never will it get to a point where a customer needs to file a complaint. No matter what happens, we stand by our work and we treat our customers with the same respect as we’d like a contractor to treat us. We want to solve every problem we come across.”
Problems that frequently occur, Werner said, include leaks in basements and crawlspaces, sump pump malfunctions and bowing or otherwise unstable foundations. The Real Seal uses carbon fibers to stop movement of foundations, Werner explained. As far as leaks go, he said there are many different ways to address this problem depending on where the leak is coming from.

“You have to hone in on the source of the leak,” he said.
The Farmer’s Almanac is a constant source of reference in predicting and preparing for all types of severe weather events, particularly since storms in recent years have increased in intensity and frequency, Werner explained.
“Everything is exacerbated by weather,” he said.
Werner said most problems he and his team come across include basement leaks and foundations in need of stabilization. Years of experience in home repair give Werner and his team the company’s trademark confidence.
“It’s been an amazing experience to put my ideas into fruition,” he said.
Werner, who has grown his company from just himself to 12 employees in the last five years, said a positive workplace is essential for a successful venture like Real Seal.
“They (employees) don’t just show up and clock in and then clock out,” said Werner. “It’s a family; an entire, working machine.”
All employees, Werner explained, are involved in the goals, growth and development of the company.
“Together, we can accomplish much more than we could individually,” he said.
Prior to starting Real Seal, Werner said he was with a similar company and decided to sharpen his skills and eventually branch off and create his own unique business model.
“It’s been such a great ride seeing people who are so invested in watching the company grow,” he said. “It’s been the most rewarding thing to be part of.”
