1. 10 Wheaton, West Chicago Students Named Semifinalists In National Merit Scholarship Program (patch.com) — Families in Wheaton can celebrate as several local high school students, including those from Wheaton North, Wheaton Warrenville South, St. Francis and Wheaton Academy, have been named semifinalists in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program. These students now move on in a competitive process that could earn them part of nearly $24 million in scholarship awards next spring.

Wheaton To Vote On Amending Liquor Code To Include Alcohol-Infused Products (patch.com) — Wheaton residents may soon see new rules for alcohol-infused whipped cream, popsicles and similar products as the City Council prepares to vote Monday on updating its liquor code. The proposal would require licenses for managers selling these items, restrict displays near kid-focused products, add warning signs, and introduce a late renewal fee for liquor licenses.

Car Burglary, Retail Theft, Cyber Fraud: Wheaton Crime Blotter (patch.com) — Recent police reports detail a car burglary, retail theft at the County Farm Road Target, and two fraud cases affecting residents on Naperville Road and Wadham Place in Wheaton. Officers are asking anyone with information about these incidents to contact the Wheaton Police Department, underscoring ongoing concerns about theft and online scams in town.
   

4. Wheaton North remains perfect, defeating St. Charles East with late interception (shawlocal.com) — Wheaton North stayed unbeaten at 5-0 after senior safety Aidan Lucas sealed a 16-12 home win over St. Charles East with a late interception in Wheaton on Friday night. Running back Mac Murray powered the offense with 155 rushing yards and a go-ahead touchdown, while first-time starting quarterback Rory Burke connected on a 68-yard scoring pass to keep local playoff hopes strong.
