Northbrook, Des Plaines Women Arrested On Drug Charges: Blotters

Incidents and arrests from the Winnetka, Glencoe and Northfield police blotters from Oct. 11 to Oct. 17.

WINNETKA, IL — The following information comes from the Glencoe, Winnetka and Northfield police departments as a record of police activity and incidents reported to the police. Criminal charges represent merely accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. FENCE DAMAGE

  • A resident in the 800 block of Burr Avenue reported sometime did $600 in damage to decorative fencing along their home between 7 p.m. Oct. 9 and 5 a.m. on Oct. 10.
  • A resident in the 1100 block of Tower Road reported someone did $300 to a fence along the side of a home between 6 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 5 a.m. on Oct. 10.
  • Another resident in the 1100 block of Tower Road reported someone did $1,000 in damage to a decorative fence between about 6 a.m. on Oct. 9 and 5 a.m. on Oct. 10.
  • A third resident of the 1100 block of Tower Road reported on the morning of Oct. 10 that someone had done $2,500 in damage to decorative fencing along their property between 7 p.m. on Oct. 9 and about 5 a.m. on Oct. 10.
  • A resident of the 1200 block of Tower Road reported that someone did $100 in damage to an outdoor lantern on a post between 9:15 p.m on Oct. 9 and 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 10.

THEFTS

  • A resident in the 900 block of Forest Glen Road reported that someone stole an iron decorative lamp post from their lawn for a loss of $200 sometime between 7 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 7 a.m. on Oct. 10.
  • A resident in the 900 block of Pine Street reported on the morning of Oct. 12 that someone had stolen earrings and a watch worth more than $5,000 from their home between Sept. 27 and Oct. 12.

Eldina Isakovic, 22, of the 8800 block of North Western Avenue in Des Plaines, was arrested around 2 p.m. on Oct. 10 and charged with possession of a controlled substance following an investigation into the a car parked at Tower Road Park that smelled of marijuana.

INCIDENTS

HIT-AND-RUN
Someone struck a crossing sign, causing some damage, prior to about 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 11 in the 1000 block of Forestway Drive.

STOLEN CAR
Someone stole an unlocked Land Rover that had been left with its keys inside in the 100 block of Harbor Street prior to about 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 11. A gas station credit card left in the vehicle was declined after someone tried to use it at an unknown location.

THEFT
A resident in the 500 block of South Avenue reported that someone stole their address sign prior to about 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 11.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A Grove Street resident reported on Oct. 12 that someone had used their name to create a fake social media account and sent harassing messages.

ARRESTS

A 20-year-old Northbrook woman was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 12 in the area of Park Avenue and Sheridan Road and charged with driving without a valid license, insurance or registration. She was also issued citations for driving with one headline, one tail lamp and a container of open alcohol. A 21-year-old Northbrook woman was charged with possession of between 30 and 100 grams of cannabis at the same time and location.

A 23-year-old Cicero man was ticketed for speeding and possession of a small amount of cannabis around 11:37 p.m. on Oct. 12 in the area of Mary Street and Sheridan Road.

A 32-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested around 10 p.m. on Oct. 14 in the 300 block of Dundee Road and charged with driving with a suspended license and registration. She was also issued citations for driving with no tail lights or insurance.

A 19-year-old Skokie man was issued a citation for possession of a small amount of cannabis around 4:45 a.m. on Oct. 15 in the area of Hohlfelder Road and Orchard Lane.

NORTHFIELD

INCIDENTS

CAR THEFT ATTEMPT
The owner of an auto repair shop in the 1600 block of Willow Road reported on Oct. 11 that a man had been seen going into a parked vehicle shortly after 1 p.m. The business owner confronted the man, who fled the scene in a vehicle driven by another man.

ARRESTS

Carl J. Scheeler, 51, of the 1800 block of Bosworth Lane in Northfield, was arrested around 9 a.m. on Oct. 8 and charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. Read more...

A 47-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 8:10 a.m. on Oct. 14 in the 1900 block of Willow Road and charged with speeding 26 mph over the posted limit.
