Mother's Day Brunch Cruise Coming To Annapolis + Antique Boat Show Returns To Southern MD

Treat mom to brunch on Annapolis waters this Mother's Day. An antique boat show is also coming to southern Maryland this weekend.

MARYLAND — Looking for some springtime fun? Residents can treat mom to brunch and a Mother's Day cruise in Annapolis or visit an antique boat show in southern Maryland this weekend.

Next weekend, Marylanders can meet farm animals at a barnyard-themed festival. Residents can also explore a history museum, browse a railway museum or contribute to a Chesapeake Bay museum.

"Mothers Day Brunch and Skipjack Cruise

Treat mom to a cruise on the Annapolis Maritime Museum’s Wilma Lee. The 2-hour cruise includes a catered “Brunch in a Box.” Bubbly for adults and a variety of soft drinks included. "Solomons Maritime Festival

This annual maritime event includes the Antique Boat and Marine Engine Show featuring exhibits from collectors of antique and classic boats, and vintage marine outboard and inboard engines. Learn how to make traditional stuffed ham, watch demonstrations on how to shuck oysters like the pros, enjoy local music, see Chesapeake Bay retrievers in action, watch model boats skim the waters of the boat basin, and talk with traditional crafts people as they demonstrate their skills. Free 30-minute cruises on Wm. B. Tennison will also be available. For the kids, there will be toy boat building and more. Free. May 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Calvert Marine Museum, Solomons, Maryland. "Lattes for Lambs

Welcome the new additions to the barnyard at this spring's Lattes with Lambs festival at Piscataway Park. Brand new lambs and calves are looking forward to meeting you. This year's event will feature farm-themed activities for the whole family, local food and coffee trucks, sheep-shearing demonstrations, and of course, everyone's favorite animals. $15 general admission, $5 for children 10 and under; proceeds support the Accokeek Foundation's Heritage Breed Livestock Conservation program in Piscataway Park. Any medium will be considered that can be exhibited indoors, including but not limited to quilting and textiles, mosaics, ceramics/pottery, found/reclaimed materials, literary arts, painting, photography, sculpture, dance, music, performing arts, data visualizations, digital art and design plans.
