Baltimore City Public Schools Makes Weather Call For January 7

BREAKING: Baltimore City Public Schools made an announcement due to Tuesday's anticipated snow.

BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore City Public Schools canceled after-school and evening activities Tuesday because of the winter weather in the forecast.

About 1 to 3 inches of snow may fall by early evening in Baltimore, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a winter weather advisory for the region.

Baltimore is not the only jurisdiction making changes based on the forecast.

Harford and Prince George's county public school systems also canceled after-school and evening activities.

Public schools in Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery and Washington counties are letting out early Tuesday based on the inclement weather in the forecast.

Baltimore City as well as Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford and Howard counties are under the winter weather advisory from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday calling for snow that may make roads slippery and travel hazardous.
