Police Release Pic of Bank Robber Who Lost Cash to Bystanders

Montgomery County Police searching for a bank robbery suspect warn that passersby who picked up some of the loot will be prosecuted, too.

Detectives trying to find a Silver Spring bank robber have released photos of the suspect, who reportedly lost some of the stolen loot when it was dropped on the street.

Authorities are appealing to the public to help find the suspect, and a reward of $10,000 is being offered.

The TD Bank at 3132 Briggs Chaney Road was robbed about 10:14 a.m. Dec. 31. Montgomery County Police say the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller, and passed a note demanding money. The note implied the robbery suspect had a weapon, but a weapon was not seen.
