Purple Heart Soldiers Reunited

A reunion of Army buddies four months in the making happened in Bethesda at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Bomb-sniffing dog Rocky was reunited with his handler, Spec. Andrew Brown. Both were seriously injured -- and were awarded Purple Hearts -- in December when an improvised explosive device detonated while they were on patrol in Afghanistan.

While Brown is now recovering at Walter Reed, Rocky spent the last four months separated from his buddy while being cared for in Germany. »»»Read more.

Suspect Sought in Jessup Shootings Dies

The suspect in the Easter Sunday double shooting at the Jessup truck stop died in an apparent suicide when he stepped in front of a train in Lanham on Monday.

Authorities say Jacinto Del Prado, 52, of Greenbelt, was sought an on arrest warrant after two people were shot, including one who died, at the truck stop on Assateague Drive in Jessup on Sunday afternoon. »»»Read more.
